Why It's Important To Learn How An Asshole Feel

I was thinking the other day about one of my clients. A few weeks ago he wanted to see me to get his back fixed. He was in a little bit of pain and didn't bother checking out on the front desk and came bolting in my door.

"Hey mate, what's up? Are you free now?" He said without a care in the world.

Meanwhile, i was massaging somebody ass with her crack wide open (she was Muslim by the way, and anytime a man see her flesh, she has to pray to allah).

Anyhoo, I told him to get loss and go to the waiting room.

On the way out he boomed out "hey that women got a big fat ass hasn't she?"

Now I don't know how she reacted because her face was plastered down on the bed but i think i know how she feels. She probably was all red faced and probably prayed to god to put a Jihad on that guy.

Obviously, that guy was an inconsiderate asshole that shouldn't be allowed to live with any decent human beings.

But it got me thinking...

How the hell can he live with himself on this planet? But if you think simply, you get it.

This guy doesn't think he really is an asshole. He thinks he is a great and funny guy. He is misunderstood and if people think he did something wrong, then it's their fault. He made up a lot of things in his mind that can't be changed.

His mind is inflexible.

And the thing is.... everybody is somewhat rigid in their thinking. It is very easy to think we're always right and it's very hard for us to think we're wrong.

It's human nature.

People hate change. Actually they despise any changes - because we scared of it.

The only way to really persuade or change this thinking of this person is to at least 'walk in his shoes for a mile before judging him'. Once you know someone's thinking, you can rationanize his thoughts and explain it in his way.

If you read the book, "How to Win Friends and Influence People", this is what the book basically say to do.

So if you really want to influence people........ just walk in his shoes for a mile before judging him.

Ok, now think of someone that you know, someone he is too rigid or too stiff in their thinking and try to walk in their shoes. You be surprised how insightful you will be. You don't have to change your thinking or your beliefs.

Conversely, try to walk in someone else's shoe that is more successful than you. You might learn how far you limited your belief's or worldview are.
